BASIC TAEKWONDO

Tiny Tigers
The Tiny Tigers program is for children ages 5-7 years of age. The primary focus is on developing gross motor skills, listening comprehension, basic taekwondo techniques, Life Skills, and fun! Since Tiny Tigers are very young, parents or other adults must stay and watch classes which are 30 minutes long.
Update: We are expanding the beginning Tiny Tigers class in an effort to keep up with demand. Please call the office for more information!

“Karate for Kids”
Karate Kids are students between 8 and 14 years old. In the Karate For Kids program, we focus on complex motor skills, coordination, confidence and discipline while having fun. Life Skills are central to the curriculum that includes more advanced lessons and curriculum. Classes are 45 minutes long and parents may watch class if they wish.

Adults
For teenagers and adults 14 years and older, this class encourages students to pursue their own individual goals in taekwondo and fitness at their own pace and intensity. The focus is on increasing fitness, flexibility, and knowledge while decreasing stress. Classes are 45 minutes long and everyone is welcome.

Black Belt Club
For those intermediate and advanced students who have made the commitment to earning their black belt, this program offers advanced training with single weapons as well as additional instruction in sparring and self defense. Tournament and testing preparation is also stressed. Black Belt Club members get priority in registering for special clinics and may become members of the Cunningham’s ATA Demo Team.

Leadership Program
This program trains Karate Kids and Adults to think, speak, and act like dynamic leaders, and to begin the Instructor Certification process. Leadership students earn tournament points toward State and World Champion status and are eligible to wear the appropriate leadership collar on their uniforms. Leadership students get top priority in registering for special events. High school seniors in the program are eligible for regional and national H. U. Lee Memorial Scholarships to help pay their college expenses!

ATA Xtreme
Students in the “Xtreme Martial Arts” program learn to master the most complex techniques while channeling their emotions into spectacular physical demonstrations. XMA students compete in forms and weapons competition at tournaments and have the distinction of wearing the black and silver high-performance uniforms. Speak to an instructor for more information about the newest, most exciting program in the ATA!

Life Skills (promoted in all programs)
The ATA’s Life Skills curriculum is designed to teach students virtues such as confidence, discipline, respect, and courtesy. By internalizing these virtues, we give our students the skills to excel in all areas of their lives.

PAYMENT OPTIONS-
We offer two payment options to our students: All-Paid, and Cash-out.

All-paid – All costs for a student’s program are added together and averaged, resulting in a single monthly payment. This payment is made automatically by EFT to Superior Credit Services. The advantages of the All-Paid option are that you never forget a payment or incur late fees and you get a reduced rate on your monthly tuition.
Cash-out – All costs for a student’s program are paid in full when they register. The advantage of the Cash-out option is that you receive a 5% discount on the total cost of your program!

“I cannot begin to describe the difference this class has made in my son’s life."

~Lisa A. Lucchesi, mother of a taekwondo student
